The Reach and Wash System, What is it?

Window cleaning the traditional way often involves the use of ladders, buckets, applicators and squeegees, plus some kind of chemical cleaning solution as well as cloths for wiping. This can be a tedious, time consuming job that at times can be at least a little dangerous. As it requires a lot of effort the timescale goes up, this might stretch from a few hours to a couple of days depending on the size of the property.

Trad

Allow me to introduce to you the Reach and Wash system!! This system uses purified water and water fed poles (WFP) to clean the windows which eliminates the need for ladders as well as old-fashioned techniques and other equipment. It can actually reduces the timescale and get the same or in most cases better results.

Pure Water?

Pure water is plain old water or H2O if you prefer. No other elements like calcium or any other dissolved solids are present.

Take a minute to remember that water has no colour, smell and for some people, has no taste. When it rains, this condensed water falls from the sky and sometimes ends up on your windows. This can leave marks on the glass. What are those white spots? This is the dust, pollen from plants and / or exhaust fumes from road traffic which has left marks on your windows.

However, when water is filtered and processed in the pure water system all those elements are not present.

Tools for Measuring Purity

A TDS meter measures how many particles or impurities is in the water. It does this by measuring the electrical conductivity of water which is then represented by a number. For example normal tap water might have a TDS reading of 0400 which is perfectly safe for drink and washing etc. When this same water is passed through the Reach and Wash filters this drops to a reading of 0000. Meaning that no impurities are present in the water. All of the minerals and dissolved particles in the water that conduct electricity have been removed, without them the water molecules can’t pass the small electrical current of the TDS meter.

The Reach and Wash Cleaning Method

The pure water is usually stored in a buffered tank in the window cleaners van. The pure water is then pumped through hoses and then up through the telescopic water fed pole (WFP). Using a special window cleaning brush at the top of the WFP the glass and window frames are scrubbed to clean away any dirt while the pure water is sprayed on to the window. This agitates any accumulated dirt and the pure water lifts it off the glass and gets it off of the surface of the window. After the window is brushed, scrubbed clean it is then rinsed to make sure nothing but pure water is left on the glass. There is no need to dry off the pure water with a squeegee or cloth and the pure water does not have any impurities so when it dries it wont leave any marks or leave any residue.

Over time using the Reach and Wash system will leave your glass cleaner for longer. The pure water easily removes all dirt from the glass surface. It then takes a significantly longer time for dirt to building up again. You will enjoy sparkling windows for even longer.

Benefits

  1. The Reach and Wash System is safer for the window cleaner because it eliminates the need to use ladders to reach the glass.

  2. It is safer for your property without the need to use a ladder no marks will be left on the ground or walls of your home or place of work. Pure water is better for glass and frames in the long run as it helps to keep glass shiner and cleaner for longer.

  3. Perfect results!! The Reach and Wash, Pure Water cleaning process won’t leave streaks or residue on your freshly cleaned, sparkly windows or glass surfaces.

  4. It is environmentally friendly, it will have no harmful effects on plants, trees, grass or life whether human or otherwise.

  5. It can be more cost effective as it will take longer for dust and dirt to build up, meaning windows and glass surfaces are easier and quicker to clean.
