Time to Spring Clean!
Despite the stubborn lack of sunshine, the calendar tells us that it’s officially Spring, and has been for several weeks. That means it’s time for a Spring Clean!
What a magnificent feeling to open those blinds, shutters, or curtains and enjoy having the Spring sunshine flowing through your windows.
While we’re normally blessed with hundreds of days of sunshine here on the Côte d’Azur, I think we can all agree to feeling slightly short-changed so far this year. But I feel a turnaround is on the horizon. The breeze has been that little bit warmer over the past few days, and the sunshine has been making cracks in the grey sky.
So get ready to clear away the cobwebs and throw the doors open, because we can almost taste the Summer is on its way!
Spring Cleaning Tips
I may be biased of course, but cleaning your windows is absolutely essential when Spring Cleaning. Clear away all the winter grime from all the rain we’ve had and let as much spring light as possible flood into your home.
It’s also a brilliant opportunity to thoroughly clean everything around your windows; launder your curtains, clean your shutters, and remove any dust build up on your blinds. Don’t let anything impede your perfect view!
After the storms we’ve had recently now is also a great time to inspect and clear your gutters. Remove leaves, branches, moss, and anything else that may have made a home there.
Clear away actual cobwebs, you know, those ones high up in the corners that you keep looking at but can never reach.
Clean chandeliers and light fittings. Keep them sparkling clean to reflect all that beautiful light that’s now streaming in through your windows.
